Databyte was established in 1986 to provide midsize businesses with flexible management software. The company headquarters is located south of Vancouver, BC (Canada), and opened a Seattle (US) office in the early 1990s. Databyte provides a full range of services in three key areas: system and application training, participatory design, technical support, and service. The most recent version of its Flexx business management system (BMS) was released in June 2007.
Flexx is an integrated suite of scalable and fully customizable modules including the firm's core Financials package and optional Distribution, E-Commerce and Specialty modules that are designed to work seamlessly together. Standard features such as their security subsystem ensure the integrity and accessibility of their customers' data. Optional enhancements such as Data Warehousing provide access to valuable historical details.
