ebitGuard is a fully-managed (outsourced) fraud screening service for retailers that accept card-not-payment transactions (e.g. website, mail order / telephone order, call center). The ebitGuard services combines merchant-specific rules, proprietary detection engines, extensive domestic and international fraud screening databases, and neural network technology to help merchants reduce customer insult rates, transaction out-sort rates and chargebacks due to fraudulent card-not-present (CNP) payments. At the heart of the ebitGuard service is an expert analytical engine that selectively incorporates results from each of the technology components (decision systems) to achieve target optimization (the perfect balance between acceptable fraud losses, out-sort rates and false positives).
